About cooking classes in France
Cookery classes Lifestyle Vacations offers are hands-on, and dedicated to all gourmet amateurs, from beginners to advanced.
It’s scheduled in the morning or in the evening, and followed by a tasting lunch or dinner with the wine included. Pastry classes are usually scheduled in the afternoon. The tasting follows or participants are free to bring the delicacies they’ve made.
A cooking class lasts between two and three-hours depending on school. Within this time, you learn in a friendly atmosphere how to cook a traditional French meal including a starter, a main course and a dessert. Some classes feature low-fat organic French cuisine. Classes are taught in English or in French with a translator.
Cooking schools which provide classes for amateurs in English are set in Paris, Provence, Loire Valley, Burgundy, Lyon, Alsace, Normandy, and Cognac Southwestern France.
Some schools offer a food market visit prior to the class. Within one hour you learn how to choose the right and freshest produces with the chef. Usually the chef buys the produces to be cooked afterwards.
Cooking schools are opened from Monday through Saturday.
