THE PROPERTY
Château de Berne in Provence is a wine-producing estate covering 500 hectares and producing half a million bottles of wine. Located in the heart of the vineyards and the forest, the estate is also home to « L’Auberge », a four-star hotel with refined bedrooms, uniquely decorated with elegant accents. Each one has its own balcony or sun terrace. The grounds are complete with an outdoor pool, gardens, tennis and boules courts. Non-cooking participants can play golf (Saint-Endreol, Sainte-Beaume, Barbaroux, etc.), explore the « wine route », etc. Bicycles are available at the property… a good idea to ride to the typical villages nearby.
  
THE COOKING SCHOOL
Château de Berne is not only a refined hotel and a famous wine-producing estate, but also a well-known cooking school that gained an international recognition. Near L’Auberge, the cookery school is nestled in a restored country house providing all the equipment and facilities that participants will need along with a generous dose of charm. Siply step out of the kitchen door to the shaded terrace and gaze over herb gardens, vineyards and olive groves.
You will join the Cookery School for a week, experiencing thematic hands-on classes and discover the secrets of the healthy Provencal cuisine… simple dishes made with fresh products from the market and vegetables from the garden, that you will pair with the right wines and taste it in a friendly atmosphere afterward.
After or before your courses, you will visit the typical market of Lorgues with the chef, and an olive-oil mill as well. You will enjoy a tour of the Chateau de Berne’s cellar followed by a wine-tasting.

Welcome dinner and night at the property.

After the breakfast begins the first hands-on class followed by the lunch
Afternoon visit of the château's vineyards
Dinner and night at the property.

After the breakfast, you will join the chef for a visit of the Lorgues’ market to buy ingredients for your daily cooking course
Lunch in the village
Afternoon cooking class, enjoying your creations for dinner.
Night at the property

After the breakfast, is your third cooking class followed by the lunch
Afternoon visit to an olive oil mill
Dinner and night at the property.

Our price includes : Five nights accomodation (double occupancy) on a half-board basis, 4 hands-on three-hour cooking classes followed by a lunch (except on Day 3 as the class occurs in the afternoon and is followed by a dinner), one lunch at a typical restaurant in Lorgues, excursions, market visits and wine tastings mentioned in the itinerary.
Are not included : airfare to/from the USA, drinks, private transfers to and from the airport or station, personal expenses.
