YOUR LOCATION : A PRIVATELY OWNED 17TH CENTURY VILLA NESTLED IN THE NORTHERN DROME PROVENCALE CONTRYSIDE

He is a graphic-designer. She is the fourth generation of chefs. He is born and raised in Eastern France. She is Italian… These origins reflect the elegance and style of their outstanding house which was the property of a bishop at the 17th century. Together they have combined a contemporary decoration in a four-hundred years old building that has kept its original stones. Villa Kaza luxury B&B Inn offers five beautiful rooms and suite with private bathrooms, modern comfort and all amenities. The house has a pool and a nice garden.

DETAILED ITINERARY

> Day 1 (Sunday) : Welcome to Provence / Walk in the countryside - Welcome dinner at a gourmet restaurant
- VIP welcome at the Avignon TGV train station after noon, and private transfer by car to the luxury Villa Kaza located nearby Grignan.
- Check-in at the property with a welcome fresh drink and installation in your room. Healthy walk in the village.
- Welcome aperitif and dinner at La Farigoule in Sainte Cécile des Vignes
- Overnight at Villa Kaza

> DAY 2 (Monday)
:
Morning Well-Being / Excursion to Nyons, the olive oil headquarters / Evening Cooking Class 1 & Tasting Dinner


- Wake-up call at 7:30am. After a quiet recovering night, nothing’s better than starting another beautiful day by exercising slowly. A 30mn well-being activity, including the Tai Chi practice, is scheduled before you enjoy a healthy organic breakfast that Elisabeth makes at home. Relaxation.
- 10:30am – 4:00pm : Private excursion to the village of Nyons.Nyons olive oil is the top grade of French olive oil which obtained its AOC quality label in 1994. Its unique personality, flavor, aroma and color are the result of an entirely natural phenomenon: the soil, the climate, the variety, the degree of maturity and the know-how of the local producers. Lunch at “Les Chante-Papilles” restaurant in Nyons.
Afternoon visit to a mill including a tasting of several pure products of the Nyons olives. Nyons virgin oil is obtained from black olives and cold pressing.
- 5:00pm – 9:30pm : Evening hands-on cooking class with Executive chef Anne-Elisabeth Carcano, member of the French Culinary Academy. You will learn how to prepare and cook a three-course meal, including an appetizer, a main course and a dessert. Tasting dinner follows the 3-hour class. Menu celebrates the organic seasonal products from the market.

> Day 3 (Tuesday)
:
Morning Massage or Reflexology / Excursion to Grignan including a visit to the open-air food market and to the chateau / Visit to a Goat Cheese Farm / Evening Cooking Class 2 & Tasting Dinner

- Wake-up call at 8:00am to enjoy a delightful home-made breakfast.
- Morning one-hour massage or reflexology to relax.
- 11:00am – 4:00pm : Private excursion to the picturesque 12th century village of Grignan. You will first walk in the village and visit the open-air food market. Lunch at a typical French Bistrot in Grignan. Afternoon visit to the chateau of the Adhémar family, that Madame de Sevigné rendered famous at the end of the 17th century. On the way back to the property, we will stop to Richerenches or Valreas for visiting a goat cheese farm and taste the small round flavorful cheese that locals call “Picodon”. Yummy !


- 5:00pm – 9:30pm : Evening second hands-on cooking class dedicated to the MediterYou will learn how to prepare and cook a three-course meal, including an appetizer, a main course and a dessert.
- Tasting dinner follows the 3-hour class. Menu celebrates the organic seasonal products from the market.
- Overnight at the property.

> DAY 4 (Wednesday)
:
Full-day excursion to Avignon and Chateauneuf du Pape including : market visit and cooking class followed by lunch / Afternoon visit to the Popes Palace in Avignon and to Chateauneuf du Pape vineyard, wine museum and wine property.


- Morning breakfast at the property
- 8:00am - 6:00pm : Departure to Avignon by private car. It takes about one hour to get there. By walking, we go to Les Halles (indoor food market) through the ancient city and its narrow cobblestones streets.
- 9:30am–1:30pm : Welcome coffee at the cooking school located inside the food market. Market visit and shopping with the chef. Two-hour hands-on class with Executive chef Julien, celebrating the Mediterranean cuisine. Tasting lunch follows the class.
- 2:00pm – 4:00pm : Visit to the Popes palace dating back to the 14th century by audioguide.
- At 4:30pm, we drive north to Chateauneuf du Pape to visit the wine museum, explore the vineyard, meet with a local producer and visit a wine cellar before enjoying a wine tasting. Chateauneuf du Pape produces finest whites and reds.
- Back to property around 6:30pm. Relaxing time.
- Dinner and night at the property.


> DAY 5 (Thursday) : Morning free relaxation at the property or visit to Suze la Rousse or bike ride / Lunch at Le Bistrot du O in Vaison / Afternoon wine excursion to Beaumes de Venise / Evening cooking class 3 including a food & wine pairing tasting dinner


- Morning breakfast and free relaxation at the property. But… we can organize a bike ride in the countryside (bicycle rent is extra) upon request or visit Suze La Rousse
that boasts an amazing medieval chateau where the International Wine Institute is located.
- Lunch at “Le Bistrot du O” in Vaison-la-Romaine.
- Afternoon exploration of the Beaumes de Venise vineyard. It produces elegant sweet whites, perfect for the aperitif and for pairing with a foie gras or blue cheese.
- 6:00pm – 10:00pm : Evening cooking class. Farewell food & wine pairing dinner follows.
Overnight at the property.

> DAY 6 (Friday) : Au Revoir !
- Morning breakfast and check-out. Private transfer to Avignon TGV station
